Lawyer. With a Master’s Degree in Economic-Legal Sciences at the Law Faculty of Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, in partnership with Universidade Clássica de Lisboa, where she concluded her Undergraduate Law Degree. She also holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Energy Law by the same institutions. Mrs. Ássma Nordine Jeque is the partner responsible for Commercial & Corporate Practice Group and the Administrative Law Practice Group. As such, she provides legal advice to investors in diverse fields, particularly in structuring companies and for different types of economic transactions, including with regard to real estate projects, land, competition, intellectual property, construction, legal audits of companies and support in their regularization, advice on the capitalization of the companies, advice and drafting various types of contracts and transactions with immovable proprieties, including acquisitions from the Mozambican State, elaboration of diverse legal opinions and other advices related to Public Law, liabilities, mitigation of risks in contracts, among others. She also has experience in legal reform, and has directly participated in the drafting of various legal instruments, provides legal assistance related to public procurement and public-private partnerships in the country. Mrs. Nordine Jeque is co-author of various legal guides, most recently “Legal Framework for Recognizing and Acquiring Rights to Rural Land in Mozambique – A Guide to Legalizing Land-holding” and “Legal Framework for Public Administration – A Guide to the Rights of the Business Citizen”, matters in which she has extensive experience. She is also a university lecturer.
